Lauren Hildago

Launa has 20 years of experience and her primary area of practice is family law.  Launa has always aimed her career at helping people and advocating for them.  She first attended the University of Saskatchewan and obtained a degree in psychology before relocating to Edmonton and attending the University of Alberta college of law.    Launa has extensive experience in both out-of-court negotiations/settlements involving a more collaborative approach and in-Court litigation.  Launa has experience in all levels of Alberta Court – Alberta Court of Justice, Court of King’s Bench and Court of Appeal.  

Launa strives to represent her clients’ interests as efficiently and effectively as possible always with a view to empowering them and overall helping them achieve their goals.  Launa is adept at communications, strategy and managing conflict.  Part of this communications strength is her ability to take complicated law and legal matters, apply it to the facts of the case and explain the law, process and potential outcomes to clients in a straightforward, easy to understand way.  With her psychology training, Launa is also able to assist and support clients while they navigate through the challenges of family law matters.    

Launa also has a corporate business law background which frequently benefits dealing with property division and assisting clients with family businesses.  In addition to family law, Launa also handles residential real estate transactions and prepares wills, powers of attorney and personal directives.  

Launa has been a member of the Law Society of Alberta since 2004 and she is a member of the Canadian Bar Association Family Law Section.
